A dashboard warning light is rarely the full story. Get it wrong and you can end up paying for parts you didn’t need while the actual fault remains. We use the same VAG-specific diagnostic tools as main dealerships, read by technicians who’ve spent years interpreting exactly what they mean on Audi, VW, Škoda and SEAT models.
If another garage has already quoted you for guesswork, or simply couldn’t diagnose an intermittent fault, this is where we tend to come in.
We won’t just throw your money at changing parts in the hope of solving the problem. Our team has constantly updated skills, the latest VAG diagnostic tools, and years of exclusive experience with VW and Audi cars. We accurately diagnose what’s wrong — and fix it, first time.
We’re also skilled at interpreting fault codes that other garages misread. Years of working exclusively on VAG vehicles means we recognise the difference between a sensor fault and a wiring issue presenting the same code — a distinction a generalist garage simply hasn’t seen often enough to spot. And our labour rates are up to 50% less than at main dealers.
We’re fully licensed for full access to the worldwide VAG Offboard Diagnostic Information System (ODIS) and Audi Digital Service Schedule (ADSS) — the same manufacturer resources as main dealerships. Many garages use VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System), but fewer have ODIS. When your intermittent fault only happens on wet mornings, solutions can come from driver experiences logged across the world.
‘These guys were nothing but helpful, and have fixed a major engine problem with my Audi A3. [Another London Audi dealership] were not only unable to fix my car — they couldn’t even diagnose the fault, and wanted me to buy a whole new engine. Chris and Peter arranged for my car to be collected, kept me updated throughout, and I am now happily back on the road. Don’t get ripped off by main dealers — use guys who are proper technicians.’ — John Prescott (via Google Reviews)
Important: if your car goes into ‘limp mode’ or shows dashboard warning lights, please don’t drive further than absolutely necessary. Your car is using sophisticated systems to compensate for a fault — get to a specialist as quickly as you can.
Q: My warning light keeps coming back after another garage ‘fixed’ it — can you help?
A: Yes — this is one of the most common reasons customers come to us. Recurring warning lights usually mean the underlying cause wasn’t correctly identified the first time, and proper VAG-specific diagnostics often resolve it where generic tools failed.
Q: How much does a diagnostic check cost?
A: Contact us with your model and the symptoms you’re seeing and we’ll give you an upfront price before any work begins. We’ll never charge for anything we can’t diagnose.
Q: Can you diagnose intermittent faults that only happen occasionally?
A: Yes — this requires more careful investigation than a one-off code read, but it’s an area we specialise in, including faults other garages have already given up on.
Fault diagnosis and rectification by manufacturer-trained technicians, using VAG-approved equipment — with labour rates up to 50% less than main dealers. And we’ll never charge a hefty up-front diagnosis fee, or charge for anything we can’t diagnose.
You’ll get a clear explanation of what we found and what it means — including photo or video documentation where helpful — rather than a code number and a shrug. If you’re at work while we diagnose the problem, we’ll update you with emailed reports, photographs or video as we go.
Our first-time fix record is why so many other garages in North West London bring their tricky fault-finding to us. And why customers cross London and the Home Counties — sometimes from Birmingham or Manchester — for diagnosis and repair.
‘A breath of fresh air to find honest, reliable professionals at very reasonable prices. The team were not only able to diagnose the problem on my vehicle, they ordered parts same day and made two sets of repairs at a very high standard. I was even able to wait while they repaired the car — it was that efficient. It’s like dealing with the showroom itself but with much better prices.’ — S Murray (via Google Reviews)

Many of our repeat customers first came to us after wasting money elsewhere on incorrect diagnoses. We’re never surprised when they become regulars and family friends. We’re a traditional Harrow family business, and that’s exactly how we treat customers.
We keep booking times to a maximum of three days where possible, and we’ll always try to help faster in emergencies. Warning lights just appeared before your holiday? Call us.
