A properly working air conditioning system keeps you comfortable in summer and demists your windscreen safely in winter. But air conditioning systems lose refrigerant gradually over time — most lose up to 15% of refrigerant per year, even without a leak. The result is reduced cooling performance and, if ignored, expensive compressor damage.
IMPORTANT: do not ignore a poorly performing air conditioning system. Low refrigerant causes the compressor to work harder, overheating components and leading to expensive failures. A regas is one of the most cost-effective preventive maintenance tasks you can do.
Our specialist AC equipment handles all refrigerant types used in Audi, VW, ŠKODA and SEAT vehicles — including R134a and the newer R1234yf used in post-2017 models. We recover, recycle, and recharge to manufacturer specifications, and check for leaks as standard.
Our air conditioning services include:
- Full AC regas (R134a and R1234yf).
- Leak detection using UV dye and electronic detection.
- Cabin pollen/carbon filter replacement.
- Evaporator antibacterial treatment and deodorisation.
- Compressor inspection and replacement.
- Condenser and expansion valve diagnosis.
- Full ODIS fault code scan of climate control system.
We recommend an AC service every two years. Our prices are significantly lower than main dealers — and we won’t charge you for unnecessary work. If your AC just needs a regas, that is all you pay for.
Our Gallery
Many customers come to us after a main dealer has quoted hundreds of pounds for an air conditioning repair, only for us to find the issue is simply low refrigerant or a faulty cabin filter. We diagnose first and quote transparently — no surprises.
R1234yf refrigerant specialists
Post-2017 Audi, VW, ŠKODA and SEAT models use R1234yf refrigerant — which is more environmentally friendly but requires dedicated handling equipment. Many independent garages cannot service these systems. Our equipment handles both R134a and R1234yf, so no matter how new your VAG car is, we have you covered.
Evaporator cleaning and bacterial treatment
A musty smell from your vents is a sign of bacterial and mould build-up on the evaporator. This is not just unpleasant — it can affect air quality and cause allergic reactions. Our antibacterial evaporator treatment eliminates odour-causing bacteria and leaves your cabin smelling fresh.
Save 40–50% vs main dealer prices
Air conditioning servicing at main dealers carries a significant premium. Our labour rates are up to 50% less — and we use the same refrigerant grades, lubricants, and procedures as the manufacturer. All work is carried out by VAG-trained technicians, with a two-year parts and labour guarantee as standard.
